Each year, at least three IDF World Ranking Tournaments are awarded and each affiliated association has the opportunity to organize a national ranking with international participation. The main IDF rankings are awarded at least one year in advance.
The IDF main rankings are awarded by the IDF Board of Directors according to the following criteria.
All Affiliated Associations can request an IDF Ranking in writing to the IDF. The IDF Rankings are only permitted at associations that have no obligations to the IDF. The organizer must meet the requirements of the ranking approved by the sport commission. In case of non-compliance with these rules, the following ranking will be withdrawn from the respective association. In the event of a positive approval of the ranking by the IDF Board of Directors, the organizer is therefore also the responsible organizer of the IDF Ranking and is responsible for all legal regulations, licenses as well as the allocation of expense contributions as well as all legal reports that are subject to this event.
An IDF main ranking must meet the following requirements:
In case of an IDF main ranking (whole weekend), only dart machines approved by the IDF may be set up in the entire tournament hall. In the tournament hall, including adjoining rooms, no advertising may be made without the permission of IDF Board. In the case of IDF main rankings, the IDF has the right to use advertising space in the tournament hall for its sponsors free of charge, in consultation with the organizer on site.
The sport rights and tv rights are held by IDF directly and managed by IDF.
There are three kinds of IDF Ranking Tournaments:
· IDF Ranking 1000: Different amounts of point assigned and fees of 1.000,00 euro for the organizer
· IDF Ranking 500: Different amounts of point assigned and fees of 500,00 euro for the organizer
· IDF Ranking 250: Different amounts of point assigned and fees of 250,00 euro for the organizer
· National Open Championships: Different amounts of point assigned, one per country, and fees of 750,00 euro for the organizer
The tournament announcements from the main rankings must be sent to the IDF 2 months in advance. The dates of the IDF ranking tournaments must be announced to the IDF at least 3 months in advance. The dates of the IDF rankings must not overlap with the dates of the official tournaments of the IDF. The match dates of the Champions League will be assigned exclusively to the 3 main rankings.
Ranking Tournament Rules:
The warm-up on the Friday before the IDF ranking may not be played before 6.30 p.m. out of consideration for the arriving darts athletes from the neighboring countries. In the tournament hall, the tournament rules of the IDF, as well as the current IDF ranking rankings must be posted. The entry fee for the IDF tournaments may not be higher than for the Open tournaments. All IDF Tournaments Ranking & DYP as well as the award ceremony must be completed on Saturday. All participants must have a valid license from an affiliated member association of the IDF. It may be played on the small (13 inches) or large (15 inches, bull eye must be 25/50) disc. The IDF Rankings can be conducted on tournament schedules or through a tournament program. All results must be sent to the IDF by email within 7 days of being carried out in Excel format (rank, player license, surname, first name, country and, in the case of DYP, the gender of the players in separate columns) or according the disposition given by IDF.
Double DYP Rules:
The registered players will be divided into strength groups by the tournament management. Registrations will be sorted by country and skill level. The strong gentleman must be assigned a weak gentleman or lady.
Requirements for IDF rankings:
IDF rankings may only be hosted by each member country (affiliated association) once per season, provided that that member country also organizes an IDF main ranking during that season.
The game mode is the responsibility of the organizer.
An individual tournament (women and men separately) soft dart must be played.
Points will only be awarded for one individual competition (women and men).
Points will only be awarded to IDF licensed players.
Tournament system Categories IDF Rankings:
The basic round is played best of 3 or best of 5 legs in a doubles ko system. The 8 best men (4 winners + 4 losers side) and the best 8 women (4 winners + 4 losers side) will then play in the play-off – knockout mode best of 3 sets – best of 5 legs. In the first round of the playoffs, the players from the losing side have a handicap of 0:1 in the sets. The players of the winning side draw their opponents from the losing side in the first round.
Players who play in play-off mode will not be allowed to play the IDF DYP competition. The expenses of the ranking tournaments will be paid by the IDF at the World or Continental Championships according to these table. Unclaimed prize money will remain with the IDF. Only the IDF Board of Directors can decide on justified exceptions.

There are no differences for the IDF Ranking points for Women and Men.
Each national federations recognized by IDF can organize and request to the IDF board a National Open during the year. The fees to organize and request a national open is 750 euro.
Each country has the right to organize a national open championship during the season.

TO PARTECIPATE TO THE COMPETITION SANCTIONED AT INTERNATIONAL LEVEL BY IDF ATHLETES MUST:
- To be member of a national federation recognized by IDF (if there is no national federation recognized it can participate under the flag of the country)
- To be comply with the antidoping programme of IDF
- To be comply with the national and international regulations
- To pay the international license fees as International Competitor of IDF (25 euro per year)
Each event will have registration fees decided by the organizer in agreement with IDF.
